We appreciate your loyalty and the trust you place in us during your time of bereavement. Our heart goes out to those affected by the recent changes due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we extend our appreciation to the health care community for all they are doing to protect us. Let us keep those whose health is directly affected by this pandemic, and their families in our prayers.
Recognizing the ongoing and increased uncertainty that the coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing around the world, our highest priority is the health and well-being of our families. We will remain open, and our experienced and caring staff will continue to assist families during this critical time.
Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services have adapted our services to follow the guidelines and mandates issued by The Governor of Oklahoma Kevin Stitt, Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, The Center for Disease Control, The National Funeral Directors Association and The Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association. Effective immediately and until further notice, Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services will be limited to immediate family and close friends of 10 people or fewer. This mandate includes funeral homes, gravesites and churches. For those who are unable to attend they may visit our website to sign a loved one’s guest book, post condolences, and/or send flowers.
We will work closely with our families to manage any changes needed on a case by case basis to include shortening the hours of visitations or rescheduling service dates. For public health reasons social distancing and refraining from shaking hands and/or touching are highly encouraged. Additionally, we are working on offering the livestreaming of visitation/funeral services to connect with families/friends who are unable to attend. However, technology services will only be available/or allowed with the permission of the next of kin.
Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services position is to adhere to the guidelines set forth in the paragraph above and respect what our leaders are asking us to do. Thank you in advance for your cooperation during this transition. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep this policy under review.
As always, we thank you for entrusting your loved one into our care.
