Ali Muhammad Obituary

Ali Amin Muhammad (aka) Namon E. Scruggs was born May 16, 1949 to Namon Scruggs and Ellanese Taylor in Sherman, TX. He was the second of eleven children. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, step father, LC Williams, second wife, Sister Tauhueedah Muhammad and a brother, Bran Keith Williams. 
Naman grew up in Sherman, Texas and was baptized into the Church Of God In Christ Holiness. As a preteen he relocated to Oklahoma City with his mother, stepfather and siblings. He attended F. D. Moon Jr. High School and Central High School. He furthered his studies in culinary arts via Job Corp.
He was employed for El Cerrito Restaurant, Beverley's Restaurant, Skirvin Hotel, The City of Oklahoma City and Charlie's Restaurant. 
Namon met and married the love of his life, Donnah Wallace. To this union three children were born. Namon E. Scruggs, Dawn M. Scruggs (Prince) and YaJuana Scruggs. In addition to his survivors are nine grandchildren, DeShyla White, OKC, DeShyra Moore (CJ), OKC, Ronesha Thomas, Stockton, CA, LuKeesha Thompson, Edmond, OK, Rahnikqua Hagan (Marcus), OKC, MisterTre Thompson (Dulce), OKC, Kiasi Thomas (Dale), OKC, Nikiah Scruggs, OKC, Niquawn Scruggs, OKC Fourteen great-grandchildren,Ariyah,Ashyrah, Carylniah,Aalonah, Isaiah, Camiyah, Alanah, Ayden, Miah, Ki'yanah, Alayah and Micah, Micaiah and Cali Dream. 
May 1969, he was drafted into the United States Army. In 1975 Namon joined the Muslim Community changing his name to Ali Amin Muhammad. He recently resigned as the secretary for the Masjid Mumin (Believers) in Oklahoma City after over twenty years of service. In 2018 Ali received a community service award in grateful appreciation for the many years of contributions he made to the Islamic Community. 
OnAugust41\ 2005, he married Tauheedah Muhammad and gained three wonderful step children, Bahiya Smalls, Seattle, WA, Bilal Muhammad, Philippines, Keonne Muhammad, Las Vegas, NV, and two grandchildren Savanna Smalls and Kaden Muhammad. 
Ali was a Godly man and always a great provider for his family and always loved and supported his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
Ali leaves behind to cherish his memories (3) children, (11) grandchildren, (14) great­grandchildren, (5) brothers, Stevie L. Scruggs (Lillian "Cookie") Sacramento, CA, Gregory Scruggs, OKC, Mark A. Williams (Angie), OKC, Darryl William (Serreda), OKC, Demetrius Scruggs (Sharonda), OKC, ( 4) sisters, Ella Deloyce Scruggs, OKC, Mary Williams, Sacramento, CA, Sandra Adams (Steve), OKC, Rhonda Lambert (Donald), OKC, very special friends Michael, Donnah, and Sam, OKC, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
