Our family lost a pillar on Monday, March 29, 2021 when Angela Burdine (Cannon), mostly known as Angie, passed away from Covid-related symptoms.
Angie was born on July 31,1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Maurice and Patsy Cannon. She graduated from Millwood High School in 1980, continued her education at Rose State College, and made a career in medical billing.
Angie will be widely remembered for being a caring and forgiving soul who touched the hearts of so many people throughout her life. She truly knew how to love and always believed family came first. She was an amazing mother to her two daughters: E’Lescia Burdine, whom she shared with her former husband James Burdine; Aaliyah McCullough, whom she shared with her former partner Gerald McCullough. Angie prided herself on being the best mother she could be and her daughters were the light of her life.
Although she loved people and was a loyal friend, Angie was also a big animal lover and enjoyed cuddling with her dog Jaylen. Angie’s family and friends referred to her as a social butterfly, who never met a stranger, and offered an open ear for anyone who needed it. She loved to cook, dance, watch movies, and travel (especially to Las Vegas)! Angie had a golden smile that lit up every room she entered. We will truly miss her contagious laughter and her being the life of the party.
