Reflection of Life
Brenda Joyce Mason was born on October 29, 1946, to Jesse (Billy) & Hallie Mae Mason in Oklahoma City, OK. Hallie Mae later married Wesley H. Shaw and this union remained for over 43 years. Brenda attended Central High School in downtown Oklahoma City. Brenda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Fifth Street Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. In 1964, she joined Emmanuel Baptist Church as a charter member, where she served on the Usher Ministry for many years. Brenda worked a varied array of jobs, from domestic worker, to wait staff, customer service representative with Montgomery Wards, including security for Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. and with Sheraton Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, to telemarketer with TCIM until her retirement. Brenda was well loved by all she met and worked with.
Brenda had a way of keeping one’s attention and would faithfully, continue her skills with her daily “Telephone Ministry” to keep in contact with those close and abroad. She frequently opened her home to many that she met and was glad to share a good meal l with long hours of conversation.
