Carolyn Booze Obituary

Carolyn Janice (Howard) Booze was born on July 4, 1954 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Mary Lousie Howard and Earl Eugene Howard. She was the first loving child born of eight children. She was free spirited with a loving heart, she was a great care giver. She would open her home to anyone in need (in the words of her son), she was a light in this world with a soul that made you better by being a part of it. Carolyn had a determination and drive to always find a way to get through when most couldn’t.
Carolyn was baptized at an early age at Bell & Farrell Church of Christ. She was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma and graduated from Shawnee High School. She later moved to Washington D.C. where she married Thurman Chris Booze Sr. on August 4, 1974. From that union they raised five children. She had a passion for nursing. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sisters, grandmother, aunt, and a friend to many.
Carol departed this earth on February 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, and three great grandchildren.
