FOREVER 21
In Loving Memory of Daeja Diane Booker
Daeja Diane Booker, a radiant soul born on February 21, 2003, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, completed her earthly journey on February 28, 2024, just seven days after celebrating her 21st birthday. She was the beloved daughter of Shyla Palmer and Dawyan Booker.
Daeja's early education began at Avery Chapel AME Early Childhood Center, where her curiosity and love for learning blossomed. She continued her academic journey at Martin Luther King Elementary, paving the way for her high school years at Centennial High School. Despite facing health challenges, Daeja completed her high school education at Putnam Heights High School, showcasing her determination and strength.
Her spiritual journey was deeply rooted in her acceptance of Christ at an early age. Daeja was an active member of the Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church, where she selflessly served in the Usher Ministry, demonstrating her commitment to her faith and community.
Daeja was a remarkable individual, known for her outspoken nature and boundless love for her family. She possessed a natural talent for cosmetology and found joy in styling the hair of her siblings and friends for special occasions and family events. Her creativity and passion left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to experience her artistry.
She is survived by her maternal grandparents, Vanessa Nicholson; her parents, Shyla Palmer and Dawyan Booker; four brothers, Isiah Palmer, D’Coreyan Williams, Dawyan Booker Jr., Trasuan Williamson, and Kevin Garcia; five sisters, Lejon Palmer, D’yan Palmer, Sha’cre Palmer, Kyrea Booker, and Araeyah Booker; and one niece, Zaniyah Palmer. Daeja also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and numerous friends whose lives were touched by her presence.
As we celebrate life and love , let us remember her as a loving daughter, sister, and friend. May her memory be a source of inspiration, reminding us to embrace life with determination, creativity, and love. In the words of the Lord, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant." May Daeja find eternal peace in the arms of her Creator.
