Damien Lewis Obituary

Damien J. Lewis was born on August 3, 1978 in Foreman, AR.  He was the 2nd child born to Lizzie Lewis and Floyd Coffey Sr.  He gave his life to the Lord at an early age at Roanoke Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Coffey Sr., maternal grandparent, Eartha Ree and Buck Neely Brown, paternal grandparents, Floyd and Minnie Lov Coffey.

 

Damien attended school in Foreman, AR and graduated, May 1997.  After graduation he moved to Midwest City, OK and resided with his special aunt, Martha.  During his stay with aunt Martha, Damien attended Barber School.  Damien graduated from Barber school and began working immediately.  He loved and had a great passion for being a barber.  He touched the lives of many throughout his 28 plus years in the profession.

Damien met the love of his life, LaKisha in Oklahoma City, OK, and they were joined in Holy Matrimony on September 25, 2015.  Through this union, he was blessed with a son, Ian Lewis, whom he loved dearly and affectionately referred to as “Sonny Boy”.

He enjoyed playing dominoes, playing pool and playing play-station games with friends and “Sonny Boy”.  In Damien spare time, he enjoyed going to the studio to make music.  He loved bar-b-queing ribs.  Damien was happy and felt blessed to have a God-daughter, “Jadyn.   He loved his family and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, LaKisha, son, Ian Lewis; mother, Lizzie Lewis; in-laws, Rev. Kenneth Sr. and Diane Burrough; six brothers:  Bryant Winfrey Lewis, Curtis Winfrey Jr., Floyd Coffey III, Quinton Coffey, Dakota Coffey, Kenneth (Crystal) Burrough; three sisters:  Bridget Coffey, Laquita Coffey, Brandi (Raymond) Beavers; three uncles; J.C. Brown, Billie (Wanda) Brown, Benny (Janice), Brown; three aunts; Norvella (Bill) Watson, “Special aunt” Martha Smith, Searless (Ferris) William.  A host of in-law’s aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
