On a cold brisk day on December 15th, 1960, in Washington D.C. a baby girl was born to the parentage of Charlotte Gross, after much thought and consideration, the name Iris was established. Being a smart, intelligent young girl at an early age and while growing up, as the years passed, Iris relocated to Oklahoma City where she later on graduated from Star Spencer High school and knowing that education was the passport to the future, she continued her education matriculation by going to Oklahoma City Community College where she studied Commercial art and earned a Associated Degree in 1981. Iris later on enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma where she majored in Engineering Physics graduating in 1993 earning a Bachelors degree. Iris began working at the Daily Oklahoman in March of 1993 as a Graphic designer and enjoyed what she did while employed there for a number of years until May 2010 when that chapter closed and a new one began being an associate at Walmart until her demise. Iris is proceeded in death by her loving mother, Charlotte Gross, grandparents Emile and Lola Guy, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Iris memory will live on in her brother James "Jim" Gross, numerous cousins, friends and those whose lives in which she touched and made and encounter with along the way.
