Joyce Ann (Mewborn) Harrison

Joyce Ann Harrison 10 of 12 children of the late John and Mary (Williams) Mewborn born on January 12, 1947 in Watonga, Oklahoma. She was called by God to take her heavenly rest on Wednesday February 3, 2021.

She accepted Christ at an early age at the Union Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir and served as Secretary of the Sunday School.  Joyce was educated in the Watonga school district where she was a member of the Glee Club.  She went on to graduate from Hill Business School in Oklahoma City, OK.

Joyce met and married Kenneth Harrison in 1982.  They later moved to Memphis, TN where she worked for M. J. Edwards Funeral Home for over 20 years.

Joyce was preceded in death by her sons, Curtis and Corey Holt, Sr.; 3 brothers, Freddy (Leon), Orlando (Red) and Donald Ray; two sisters, Mildred, and Lee Ethel.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Kenneth Harrison; two daughters, Tracy Brown Kenisha Harrison; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; three brothers, Wayne Mewborn; Melvin Mewborn, Anne Lewis (Patricia) Mewborn; three sisters, Juanita Smith, Louise Robinson, and Donna Mewborn; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
