Obituary
Kathy Yvonne Wofford was born on December 16, 1959, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the loving parents Herschal and Arty Battle. She was raised in a home grounded in love, faith, and resilience, values that would shape her life and legacy.
Kathy attended John Marshall High School, graduating with the Class of 1976. With determination and grace, she continued her educational journey, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
Kathy was a woman of unwavering love, strength, and elegance. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother whose life was a living testimony of God’s grace. Her love knew no bounds whether as a mother, spouse, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend.
Her presence lit every room she entered. Kathy had a heart that embraced everyone, making each person feel seen, heard, and valued. Her kindness, warmth, and laughter created lasting memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.
On March 31, 2026, our Heavenly Father called His daughter home. Kathy answered that call, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion. She was preceded in death by her parents Hershal and Arty Battle, her brother Ronald Battle, and her sisters Mary Smith and Sandra Battle.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband, Michael Wofford Sr., her beloved sons Nicholas and Ronnie Wofford, both of Oklahoma City, her sister Debra Noris of Houston, Texas, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Kathy’s life reminds us that love never fails. Though she has taken her rest, her love, her light, and her legacy will continue to shine through every life she touched.
A Sister’s Love
Today we gather with heavy hearts
Yet full of love that never parts
For Kathy, a light so warm, so bright
Still shines beyond our earthly sight
She had a way of easing pain
Of bringing sunshine after rain
A smile that danced
A laugh that stayed in every life her love laid
A loving mother, wife, sister, cousin, and aunt, steady and true
Nick and Ronnie meant everything to you
Her grandchildren, her joy and her delight
Little reflections of her light
In them her legacy will grow
In every hug and love they show
And while we grieve, we also know
Her love is something death can’t slow
For in our memories she’ll remain, in every joy, in every pain
Love, your big sister
Debra
