Biography: Leon L. Naff, Sr. was born October 28, 1929 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Ethel A. William-Hudson and Joseph Naff. He was raised in Chandler, Oklahoma by his mother, Ethel A. Naff and grandmother, Idella Hudson. He attended school and graduated from Douglass High School, Chandler, Oklahoma. Leon attended college at Langston University, Langston, Oklahoma. Leon as a youth attended Central Baptist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma and later in life joined the membership family of St. John Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Spencer, Oklahoma which was an important part of his life. Ada Lena Battle and Leon L. Naff married and moved to Oklahoma City where they raised 7 children. Leon worked in various jobs in Oklahoma City and eventually retired from St. Eugene Catholic Church in Oklahoma City in 2002 as supervisor of maintenance. During his retirement, Leon made himself always available to help others. He was just a phone call away. Leon L. Naff is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel A. Naff; grandmother, Idella Hudson; father, Joseph Naff; daughter, Sherry (Neal) Parker; and son, Lawrence Dewberry. Leon is survived by his wife, Ada Lena Naff; his children: Leon L. Naff, Jr., Larry D. Naff, Beverly A. Naff, Duane A. (Betty) Naff, Zelda E. (Charles) Lawson, Ethel A. Williams, Linda Taylor, Russell (Sandra) Johnson, Sherry Neal, Pamela Anderson, O. Mitchel (Glenda) Neal, Richard (Gwen) Naff, Melisa Dewberry, and Janette Naff; 29 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
