Leslie Willena Williams, affectionately known as “Lezlie,” lovingly called “Tiny” by her siblings and friends, and “Aunt Lezlie” by her nieces and nephews, transitioned from labor to reward on January 10, 2026, at the age of 66.
Born on August 15, 1959 to Willie and Leslie Williams, she was the seventh of eight children and grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and strong family bonds. As a child, Lezlie faithfully attended the Church of God in Christ, where she accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age. As her walk with Christ matured, she regularly attended Britton Christian Church and especially enjoyed participating in Bible study.
Lezlie received her education through the Oklahoma City Public Schools, attending Culbertson Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School, and proudly graduating from Northeast High School.
A true lover of family, Lezlie enjoyed entertaining, laughing, and spending time with loved ones. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her children brought her immeasurable joy — especially during those fun, loud, joke-filled gatherings with her “Sister-niece” Kavysania, her cousins, and her brothers “Pat” and “Perry” until their earthly departure.
As a young girl, Lezlie was a talented swimmer. Warm summer days often found her walking with friends and siblings along Wilshire Boulevard to the nearest pool. After swimming for hours, her brother Pat would sometimes carry her home because she had given every ounce of energy to the water.
Lezlie also cherished the joys of shopping and dressing to the nines. Fashion and music were her languages, and her living room was her personal concert hall. With Frankie Beverly & Maze or Michael Bolton playing in the background, she would host her own spirited karaoke sessions. Music was not just entertainment — it was her medicine.
In 1982, Lezlie and Mr. Larry Hardwick welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Adrianne “Cameo” Hardwick. Soon after, she was blessed with two beloved sons, Brandon and Asia Hardwick.
Lezlie worked for many years at Dillard’s in Penn Square Mall and later at Walmart until her health declined. If she spotted you entering the store, she would greet you with the warmest and most enthusiastic wave. She never met a stranger, and she was always willing to help others when she could. Tiny had a heart as big as her smile — and she never missed a chance to tell you she loved you. To know her was truly to love her.
Lezlie is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Leslie Williams, and by her brothers Walter K. Ogles III, Patrick Williams Sr., and Perry Williams Sr.
Left to treasure her memory and carry forward her legacy are her children: Ms. Adrianne Cameo Shantelle Hardwick of Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Brandon Quincy La’Ron Hardwick and Mr. Asia Preston Markye Hardwick of Oklahoma City; her three precious grandchildren Skylar Hardwick, Carson Wilkes, and Mason Hardwick; and her beloved sisters Donna Ogles, Ann Lazaro (Jay), Lela Stewart of Oklahoma City, and Wilma Simpkins (Cle) of Grand Prairie, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The Word declares in Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV):
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Amen.
