Naomi Brame Obituary


Naomi Ruth Brame born to James and Gaynell Terrell on the 6th of November 1928 in Wichita, Kansas. She grew up in the red farm fields of Dover, Oklahoma. There she met the love of her life Harold (Jack) Brame. They were united in marriage in Enid, Oklahoma on the 20th of September 1945. They sought a brighter future in Rockford, Illinois. There they built a home and prosperous life. To their union they brought Jacqueline Ruth, Naomi Denise and Keith.
Besides being a wife and mother, she worked as a mental health specialist for the state of Illinois, where she discovered her love of working with children. She was active woman of faith serving in several churches and community service organizations. Living a life where her love of Jesus was born out in flesh to those around her.
After 57 years of marriage Naomi released her Jack to the care of Jesus in March 2002. She remained in Rockford until late in life when she felt the call to return to her childhood home of Oklahoma. It was here in Midwest City where she entered her eternal rest, passing peacefully at her home on the 10th of January 2020.
She is survived by Naomi Denise, her grandson Jacque Caruthers, who she loved like a son, along with several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sisters Zelma Tasker, Shirley Martin, Eloise Gray and her brother David Terrell. She was well loved by a host of surviving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
