Naticia Askew Obituary

Naticia LaShea Brown (Askew) was born on December 25, 1980 to Deborah Brown and Emanuel Rollins.

Naticia attended high school at John Marshall and graduated in May of 1998, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Naticia married Tavares Askew in Paducah, Kentucky on February 22, 2013, and this union remained together until his death in January 2020. Two children, Caleb Byrley and Heavenly-Storm Askew were born to this union.

Naticia “Piggy” as we call her, was a very outgoing person with a huge personality that anyone couldn’t help but love. At an early age she met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was baptized soon thereafter. She was a member of The Church of the Living God (Pillar and Ground of the Truth) of Spencer, Oklahoma. She later became a member of Burks Chapel A.M.E. Church of Paducah, Kentucky where she enjoyed working with the youth in and around the community. Her work didn’t go unnoticed as she was nominated and won the “POWER OF ONE” Award (an award linked to the late and great ROSA PARKS) for her outstanding service and performance in the church as well as the community/church work while being a full time student at Western Kentucky Technical College and received her credentials as a Medical Receptionist. When asked what her motivation for it all was her response was, “ROSA sat down so MARTIN could walk and Barack could RUN so that my children can FLY.” Y’all PIG will be missed and y’all know it. ME and GOD exchanged hands on October 19, 2021 at 4:08 p.m. “PIGGY is at home with her husband Y’all.”      - MIKEY
