Parece Kathleen Perkins
January 25, 1998 – May 31, 2024
Parece Kathleen Perkins, a beacon of light and strength, was born on Superbowl Sunday, January 25, 1998, in Kansas City, Kansas. From the moment she entered the world, Parece embodied the spirit of a champion, living a life full of passion, creativity, and unwavering determination.
Parece was the beloved daughter of Shanetha Allen and Rupert Perkins. She grew up surrounded by a loving family that included her cherished Aunt Maddie Allen, her adored grandmother “Nana,” and numerous cousins, families, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
Her journey took her from Kansas City, Missouri, where she was educated, to Jacksonville, Florida, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and finally to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was in Oklahoma City that she graduated from OKCPS Emerson High School, showcasing her brilliance, particularly in mathematics—a talent so remarkable that she was often known to assist her mother with her college assignments. Parece furthered her education at Rose State College, where her academic prowess continued to shine.
Parece’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with diverse interests and talents. She was a gifted entrepreneur, creating and selling custom jewelry that reflected her unique artistic vision. Her entrepreneurial spirit extended to her work as an Uber driver in Oklahoma City, where she connected with people from all walks of life. A true artist at heart, Parece was an exceptional makeup artist, a dedicated painter, and a graffiti artist whose works left an indelible mark on those who saw them. Her creativity knew no bounds, and her art was a reflection of her vibrant and resilient spirit.
Despite being diagnosed with stage 4 lupus at the tender age of 16, Parece never let the disease define her. Her courage and zest for life were evident as she embraced every moment, making the most of her time here. Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, she was gifted with a “Hollywood Experience,” a testament to her incredible journey and the unique impact she had on everyone she met.
In her early 20s, as lupus continued to pose significant challenges, Parece remained steadfast in her resolve to live “Her Best Life.” She accomplished her dreams, including acquiring her dream car and living in a luxurious apartment, symbols of her perseverance and determination.
Parece’s final weeks were spent in the ICU, where she showed immense strength and grace. On May 31, 2024, she heard the comforting words of her Heavenly Father, “Come and take your rest. Well done, thy good and faithful servant,” and she departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and inspiration.
Parece Kathleen Perkins will forever be remembered for her unyielding spirit, her boundless creativity, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. Though her time with us was brief, the impact of her life will resonate for years to come.
Rest in peace, dear Parece. Your light continues to shine brightly in our hearts.
