Obituary

Redia Vann-Fisher of Midwest City, transitioned August 26, 2023. Redia was the first born to the union between Luther Vann and Eudeenia Vann. Redia was born in Tulsa, OK and was a lifelong resident of the state.  She attended school in Oklahoma City and was the mother of five children.

Redia had a unique personality that not everyone could handle, however, having a sense of humor made all the difference. She met the love of her life and best friend Curtis Fisher and the two were married in the year 2000. Through all their struggles, no matter what disagreements they might have had, you could not pry them apart.

Redia found great joy in helping the elderly, children, and those that just needed someone to love them. It was not uncommon for you to find Redia taking various people that lived around her mom’s senior living complex out to get groceries, go to medical appointments, or just running errands. For these reasons, she became the “adopted” daughter, niece, aunt, and mom to many.

In her younger years, Redia enjoyed the rodeo circuit as an amateur barrel racer and traveled around the state and cross country to compete. Later in life she enjoyed spending time with her “husband” on his motorcycle and their friends in the motorcycle club at various events.  She and Curtis were staples at Tipton family events. They often came early and stayed late.

Many will miss her big smile, creative wig collection, and outlandish stories. She is survived by spouse Curtis Fisher, Father: Luther Vann (Lorene)(Tulsa); Daughters: Darcus Vann (OKC, OK), Shamika Johnson (Quinton), of GA, Sons: Antonio Vann, Jamal Vann, Stanley Vann (OKC, OK), Kelly Fisher, Curtis Fisher, Jr, Tommy Fisher Sr., Carrie Fisher, LaQuisha Moore.  Brother: Lorenza Vann (OKC, OK) Sisters: Debbie Vann-Morris (Carey) (OKC, OK), Joyce Vann (Jones, OK) Cynthia Oliver (GA), Aliyah Vann (Tulsa), Lydia Toles (Donnel), Cassandra McCane (OKC, OK) and Sharon McCullough. She is proceeded in death by beloved Mother: Eudeenia Vann “Madison”, Brother Luther Vann Jr, and Sister Brenda McCane. Let us not forget her 13-grandchildren, 1-great grandchild, and a host of other family members and friends.
