Richard McIntosh Obituary

Richard James McIntosh "Mickey" departed this earth on January 10, 2022, at the age of 67.

Richard was born on May 31, 1954, to Joe and Zella (Gentry) McIntosh in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was one of three children. His parents and siblings Charlene McIntosh and Joe Kenneth McIntosh all preceded him in death.

Richard grew up with his family in Choctaw, Oklahoma. He attended The Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Mosley. He was an active member in the church choir, and this is where he developed his love of music.

He attended Dunjee High School where he met his former wife, Brenda Madison. In this union 3 children were born. Felicia McIntosh, Richard McIntosh, and Michael McIntosh. He also had a daughter Ty'Chekia Thompson who preceded him in death.

Richard gave service to his country in the Unites States Army from July 1974 to July 1977. Completing a three-year enlistment. After his run in the armed services, he held construction type work. He was no stranger to hard work and always made time to enjoy he passion for music. As he continued to pursue his love for music, he a member in a band, and shared his musical abilities with his children.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory his children Felicia McIntosh of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Richard McIntosh Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Michael McIntosh of Los Angeles, California, his grandchildren, Takara, Raven, Ephriam, Heaven, Zharia, and Nova, and many more family and friends.
